How to Install WordPress on Shared Hosting (with LiteSpeed Cache)

WordPress on a LiteSpeed-powered plan is one of the fastest ways to run a website — if you configure the cache. Here's the full setup, from zero to a scoring site, in about 15 minutes.

1. Install WordPress with Softaculous

1. Log in to your hosting control panel from the client area;
2. Open Softaculous Apps Installer → WordPress → Install;
3. Choose your domain, set a strong admin password (not “admin” as username), and install.

Softaculous creates the database, configures wp-config.php and can auto-update WordPress for you — enable that.

2. Turn on HTTPS

Your free SSL certificate is issued automatically. In WordPress, set both site URLs to https:// (Settings → General). If you migrated a site, run a search-replace for old http:// URLs.

3. Install LiteSpeed Cache — the big win

1. Plugins → Add New → search “LiteSpeed Cache” → Install → Activate;
2. LiteSpeed Cache → Presets → choose Recommended;
3. Enable Cache Logged-in Users: OFF, Browser Cache: ON, CSS/JS Minify: ON.

4. Image optimization

In LiteSpeed Cache → Image Optimization, request optimization; WebP versions are generated and served automatically to supported browsers.

5. Five security basics

• Delete unused themes and plugins — every one is attack surface;
• Turn on auto-updates for plugins you keep;
• Use a unique admin username + strong password + 2FA plugin;
• Limit login attempts (LiteSpeed Cache has a built-in reCAPTCHA option);
• Daily backups are already included with your plan — verify them in the panel once.

6. Test your speed
